How Does Mercedes-Benz PARKTRONIC® including Parking Guidance Work?
Drivers from Greater Boston know that pulling into and out of tight parking spots can be the trickiest part of a daily commute. Fortunately, Mercedes-Benz PARKTRONIC® including Parking Guidance technology makes this task much easier!
What is Mercedes-Benz PARKTRONIC® including Parking Guidance?
Simply put, PARKTRONIC® including Parking Guidance makes it easier for Mercedes-Benz drivers to locate, pull into and pull out of parallel parking spots. Once the system is activated, you will get an audible and visual notification when your vehicle detects a suitable parking spot as you drive along a row of parking spaces. Next, Parking Guidance shows you how to guide your Mercedes-Benz into the parking spot by generating an image of the steering wheel on your dash and showing you exactly how it should be positioned.
How does PARKTRONIC® including Parking Guidance work?
PARKTRONIC® including Parking Guidance works by using ultrasonic sensors in both the front and rear bumpers, as well as several other locations. The sensors measure distances to help locate suitable parking spots. When the time comes to guide you into a parking spot, the system will audibly and visually alert you if there is not enough distance between your Mercedes-Benz and surrounding objects or other vehicles.
